The Bhagavad Gita is
considered to be among the most precious scriptures in Hindu literature. It is said to be a treasure trove of values
for one to live by The Gita also has verses that pay tribute to Lord Krishna’s
glory. One such verse is “Vasudeva sutam
devam…..”. The verses describe Lord
Krishna as the supreme joy of Devaki, His mother. By reciting this shloka, one hails Lord
Krishna, the Son of Vasudeva, as the destroyer of the demons Kamsa and
Chanura. One worships Him as the Guru of
the entire universe

Sanskrit language in comparison with Greet and Lathin
Sir William Jones. Who was
also a Sanskrit scholar, a grammarian, a poet repute, a translator, who
introduced Sanskrit classics to the western world, and founder of the Asiatic
Society of Bengal. Jones served the East India Company as a judge of the
Supreme Court in Calcutta from 1783 to 1794.
The Sanskrit language,”
he wrote, “whatever be its antiquity, is of a wonderful structure, more perfect
than Greek, more copious than Latin, and more exquisitely refined than either;
yet bearing to both of them a strong affinity, in roots of verbs and forms of
grammar.”
