FAITH - Greatness of Sri Rudram
Most of us are devoted to God and engage in worship, prayer, dhyana, etc, as part of propitiating Him. But when each one asks himself the true purpose for propitiating God, the answer is best known to him and to God, of course. Generally people being bound to this world, often tend to seek worldly goals from the Lord. These are, of course, necessary to cross this world of samsara. But the Lord is so compassionate towards the ignorant devotee who is sadly missing out on the chance of seeking salvation from Him, pointed out Sri. B. Sundarkumar in a discourse. It is by His grace that the desire for salvation can take root in the devotee.
There is a very astonishing section of the Vedas, Sri Rudram, that teaches man what to seek from God and also ask for forgiveness of sins. It is a powerful mantra in the Taittiriya Samhita that is in the Krishna Yajur Veda. Sri Rudram is the fifth Prasna placed carefully in the central and fourth kanda. Namakam and Chamakam are the fifth and seventh chapters in this section and herein the Vedas pay homage to Siva, the supreme deity in Saivism and extol His omnipresence, omnipotence and omniscience. The Namakam enumerates the various epithets and names of Rudra. The Chamakam asks for fulfilment of wishes that encompass all the requirements of all beings in all walks of life. In this list is also included Moksha or salvation which is subtly shown to be the ultimate requirement over all else which are ephemeral.
Appayya Dikshitar in his Siva Ashtottara praises the Lord as “Apavarga Pradayakaya Namaha.” This means one who is capable of granting the highest Purushartha Moksha. The Lord is so magnanimous that He is satisfied with even the offer of the simple Tumbha flower and in return grants moksha to one who sincerely wishes it.

குரு பூர்ணிமா என்பது முனிவர் வேத வியாசருக்காக அர்ப்பணிக்கப்பட்ட ஒரு நாளாகும். இந்த நன்னாளில் தான் வேத வியாசர் பிறந்ததாக நம்பப்படுகிறது,
வேத வியாசர் மிகச்சிறந்த குருவாக போற்றப்படுபவர். வேதங்களை, ரிக் வேதம், யஜூர் வேதம், சாம வேதம் மற்றும் அதர்வண வேதம் என நான்கு பிரிவுகளாக வகைப்படுத்தியவர். உலகின் மிக நீளமான பிரம்மாண்ட காவியமான மகாபாரதத்தை எழுதியவரும் இவரே. வியாச மஹரிஷி, பராசர முனிவரின் புதல்வர். இவரது இயற்பெயர், கிருஷ்ணதுவைபாயனர். வேதத்தின் சாரமாக, 18 புராணங்களை இயற்றித் தந்தவரும் இவர்தான். எல்லாவற்றிற்கும் மேலாக, பிரம்மசூத்திரத்தை நமக்களித்தவரும் இவரே. மஹாபாரதத்தை, வியாசமஹரிஷி கூற அதனை விநாயகப் பெருமான் எழுதினார் என்கிறது புராணம்.
'குரு' இரண்டு வேர்களைக் கொண்டுள்ளது. அதாவது 'கு'என்பது 'இருள்'என்று பொருள் மற்றும் 'ரு' என்பதன் அர்த்தம் 'இருளை அல்லது அறியாமையை நீக்குதல் என்று பொருள். குருவானவர் நம்மை அறியாமையிலிருந்து விடுபட்டு நல்வழியை நமக்குக் காட்டுகிறார். நமக்கு நல்வழி காட்டிய குருவையும், ஆசிரியர்களையும், ஆன்மீகத் தலைவர்களையும் கௌரவிக்கும் நாளாக குரு பூர்ணிமா நாள் கொண்டாடப்படுகிறது.

சுப்பிரமணிய சிவா (4 அக்டோபர் 1884 - 23 சூலை 1925) இருபதாம் நூற்றாண்டின் முற்பகுதியில் வாழ்ந்த இந்திய விடுதலைப் போராட்ட வீரர் ஆவார். அரசியலையும், ஆன்மீகத்தையும் இணைத்து விடுதலைக்காகப் போராடியவர். தமிழகத்தின் ஏராளமான மக்களுக்கு விடுதலைத் தாகம் ஏற்படச்செய்த சிறந்த மேடைப்பேச்சாளர் மற்றும் சிறந்த இதழாளர்; 1913-இல் 'ஞானபாநு' இதழை நடத்தியவர். விடுதலைப்போராட்ட வீரர் வ. உ. சிதம்பரனாருடனும் மகாகவி பாரதியாருடனும் நெருங்கிப்பழகியவர். இவர் 'வீரமுரசு' எனப் புகழப்பட்டார்.

ஆத்திரம் அடைந்த நீதிபதி அவருக்கு கடும் காவல் தண்டனை விதித்து தீர்ப்பு கூற... பார்வையாளர் கூட்டம் ஹா, ஹா என்று இரங்கியது... .

அந்த இளைஞர் தான் சந்திரசேகர் திவாரி.... இப்போது அவர் பெயருடன் ஆசாத்தும் சேர்ந்து கொண்டது.
மத்தியப் பிரதேச மாநிலத்தில் உள்ள பாபாரா கிராமத்தில் பிராமண குடும்பத்தில். சீதாராம் திவாரி & ஜக்ரானி தேவி தம்பதியருக்கு பிறந்தார்..
காசியில் தன் தாயின் விருப்பப்படி சம்ஸ்கிருத பண்டிதராக. வேண்டும் என்று படித்துக்கொண்டு இருக்கும் போது தான்.. ஒத்துழையாமை இயக்கத்தில் பங்கு கொண்டு கைதானார்.....

1931ஆம் ஆண்டு பிப்ரவரி 27ஆம் நாள் ப்ரயாக்ராஜ் நகரில் உள்ள ஆல்பிரெட் பூங்காவில் ஆசாத் தன் புரட்சிப்படை நண்பரான சுகதேவ் ராஜ் உடன் இருக்கிறார் என்ற தகவல் துரோகிகளிடம் இருந்து அரசுக்கு கிடைக்க.
ஆங்கிலப்படை பார்க்கை சுற்றி வளைக்கிறது , தன் நண்பர் சுகதேவ் ராஜ் ஜை தப்புவுக்க ஆசாத் ஆங்கிலேயருடன் ஒரு மரத்தின் மறைவில் இருந்து துப்பாக்கி சண்டையில் ஈடுபட... , அதில் இரண்டு ஆங்கில அதிகாரிகள் படு காயம்.....( சுக் தேவ் தப்பி விடுகிறார்) அயலாரிடம் உயிருடன் சிக்கக்கூடாது என்ற தன் கொள்கைப் படி போராடிய படியே... தன் துப்பாக்கியில் கடைசி குண்டு இருக்கும் போது, தன்னையே சுட்டுக் கொண்டு வீர மரணம் அடைகிறார் சந்திரசேகர திவாரி ஆசாத். அப்போது அவர் வயது 24 மட்டுமே.
அந்தப் பார்க்கின் இன்றைய பெயர் சந்திரசேகர் ஆசாத் பார்க்.
அந்த மா வீரர் பிறந்த தினம் ஜூலை 23 1906.
வாழ்க அவர் புகழ், வந்தே மாதரம், பாரத் மாதாகீ ஜெய்...

DA Hike for Central Govt Employees: Salary Calculation from July, DA Arrear in 5 Points
After a gap of almost one-and-half year, the central government has raised the Dearness Allowance (DA) and Dearness Relief (DR) for central government employees and pensioners. The dearness allowance and dearness relief have been hiked to 28 per cent from the existing 17 per cent. The new rate will be effective from July 1.
To fight against nationwide coronavirus pandemic, the central government halted the dearness allowance benefits for employees till June 30, 2021. The finance ministry earlier mentioned that any hike in DA due to revision on July 1, 2021, will take into account the previous hikes as well.
Nearly 48 lakh central government employees and 65 lakh pensioners will be benefitted by this latest move. It will cost the government an additional Rs 34,401 crore.
All you need to know about DA hike, DA arrears and salary calculation:
1) The government has restored three installments of dearness allowance and dearness benefits which fell due in last one and half year — 4 per cent on January 1, 2020, 3% per cent on July 1, 2020, and 4 per cent on January 1, 2021.
2) Dearness Allowance is a component of salary of government employees and pensioners. To cope up with the rising inflation, the central government revises DA and DR benefits twice every year – in January and July. DA varies from employee to employee based on whether they work in urban sector, semi-urban sector or the rural sector.
3) The central government employees has received 17 per cent DA till June 30, 2021. Now the DA has been revised to 28%, starting from July 1, 2021. If a government employee gets Rs 18,000 per month, his or her take-home salary will be increased 11 per cent or by Rs 5,040 from July.
4) It must be noted that that government will not pay any dearness allowance arrears for the period between January 1, 2020 to June 30, 2021. Cabinet approves restoring of three instalments of Dearness Allowance and Dearness Relief with effect from 01.07.2021 representing an increase of 11% over the existing rate of 17% of the Basic Pay/Pension. No arrears for the period from 01.01.2020 till 30.06.2021 shall be paid," said Jaideep Bhatnagar, principal spokesperson, government of India and principal director general of Press Information Bureau.
5) “The increase reflects the additional instalments arising on 01.01.2020, 01.07.2020 and 01.01.2021, which were earlier frozen due to covid pandemic situation. The rate of DA/DR for the period 01.01.2020 to 30.06.2021 shall remain at 17%,"
